The Galaxy Note8 is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, with a global score of 83 against 78.1. Galaxy Note8 is a notably newer phone than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, although it's incredibly heavier and a bit thicker.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy S5 Plus. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note8, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy S5 Plus, resigning a couple specs and features.
