Galaxy S6 Edge is a little bit better than Galaxy Note8, with an 85.7 score against 83. Both of these phones work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy S6 Edge has older 5.0 version and Galaxy Note8 has Android 9.0 Pie. The Galaxy S6 Edge design is way lighter and thinner than Galaxy Note8, despite of the fact that it was released many years before.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a little faster processor than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has lesser RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with a graphics co-processor and a 64-bits processor. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge counts with a better looking screen than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a little bit smaller display and a bit worse resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, it also counts with a little more pixels per display inch.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a better camera than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has a lower (4K) video resolution and a back facing camera with a way lower resolution, it also counts with a bigger aperture to capture better low light images and video and a larger back camera sensor taking higher quality videos and photographs.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a little bit more memory capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has 0 less internal memory, it also counts with an external memory card slot that allows up to 256 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with greater battery life than Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity.

Although Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Note8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Note8. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy Galaxy Note8, and give up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
