Comparison review

Galaxy Note8 is just a bit better than the Galaxy XCover Pro, with an 83 score against 81. Both phones we compare here come with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Note8 has newer 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy XCover Pro has Android 11 version. Despite of the fact that the Galaxy Note8 is older than Galaxy XCover Pro, it's construction is somewhat thinner and lighter.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 features a bit more vivid display than Galaxy XCover Pro, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 also has a greater pixel density and a better 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a bit better processing unit than Galaxy XCover Pro, and although they both have 8 cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 also has 2 GB more RAM memory.

Galaxy XCover Pro counts with slightly more memory capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Note8, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Galaxy XCover Pro also has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. The Galaxy XCover Pro has longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Note8, because it has a 4050mAh battery size against 3300mAh.

The Galaxy XCover Pro's camera is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note8 one, because although the Galaxy XCover Pro has a much tinier back camera sensor capturing lot lower quality photos, and they both have the same (Full HD) video resolution, the same diafragm aperture and the same video frame rates, it also counts with a back-facing camera with much more mega pixels.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 costs a bit more than the Galaxy XCover Pro, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a lot more for that extra money.
