Comparison review

Xperia 1 III has a global score of 93.3, which is better than the Galaxy Note8's score of 83. The Xperia 1 III is a newer cellphone, and it's also just a little thinner and just a bit lighter than Galaxy Note8. These phones have Android OS (operating system), but the Xperia 1 III has an older 11 version while Galaxy Note8 has Android 9.0 Pie.

Xperia 1 III counts with a little bit better screen than Galaxy Note8, because it has a bit bigger display, a better resolution of 1644 x 3840px and a bit better number of pixels per inch in the screen. Xperia 1 III has a very superior memory to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has 256 GB internal storage and a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 1 TB.

The Sony Xperia 1 III has a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Note8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has more RAM. Xperia 1 III has greater battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity. Xperia 1 III features a better camera than Galaxy Note8, and although they both have a camera with a 12 megapixels, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a F1.7 camera aperture, the Xperia 1 III also has a way larger camera sensor capturing way higher quality videos and photographs and higher 120 frames per second video frame rates.

Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Note8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy Note8. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Note8, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your savings.
