Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a bit better than Xperia Z3, getting an 83 score against 77.3. Even though Samsung Galaxy Note8 is heavier than Xperia Z3, it's a bit thinner and also newer. Both of these phones work with Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Xperia Z3 has Android 4.4.4 version, offering a lot of extra features.

The Xperia Z3 has a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory and an inferior number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with an additional GPU. The Xperia Z3 counts with a more vivid screen than Galaxy Note8, although it has a bit smaller screen, a little inferior pixels amount in each inch in the screen and a lot lower resolution of 1920 x 1080px.

Xperia Z3 has just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, and they both have the same video quality and the same video frame rates, the Xperia Z3 also counts with a way better resolution back camera and a larger camera sensor. The Galaxy Note8 features much more storage capacity for apps and games than Xperia Z3, because it has an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 256 GB and 64 GB internal memory.

Galaxy Note8 has just a little better battery life than Sony Xperia Z3, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity instead of 3200mAh.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Sony Xperia Z3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Sony Xperia Z3. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Sony Xperia Z3, giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
