Galaxy Note8 has a score of 83, which is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite's 77.7 general score. These phones work with Android OS, but Galaxy Note8 has newer 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has Android 8.1 Oreo version, so it counts with some nice extra features and performance enhancements. Galaxy Note8's construction is heavier and somewhat thicker than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite.
Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 also has a higher 1440 x 2960 resolution and a higher number of pixels per display inch. Samsung Galaxy Note8 features just a bit better performance than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite. Both have the same number of cores and a 6 GB RAM memory.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite takes a little bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy Note8, although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for taking images and video in low light situations, they both have a back-facing camera with a 12 megapixels, the same 3840x2160 video quality, the same sensor size and the same video frame rate.
Samsung Galaxy Note8 features a bit more storage for apps and games than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with a SD extension slot that admits up to 256 GB. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite counts with just a little better battery life than Galaxy Note8, because it has a 2 percent greater battery size.
