Comparison review
The Galaxy Note8 has an overall score of 83, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE's 81.4 score. Despite being the best cellphone in this comparison review, it must be noted that it's also an older, somewhat thicker and a lot heavier cellphone. Both of these devices come with the same Android 9.0 Pie OS (Operating System), so both should provide all the same operating system features.
Galaxy Note8 and Xiaomi Mi 9 SE both feature extremely similar displays, although the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE has a quite smaller display, a way worse resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a bit lower quantity of pixels per display inch. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 and the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE count with incredibly similar CPUs, both have a 6 GB RAM and a Octa-Core CPU.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE captures better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not recommended for low light photography and videos, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same video resolution, the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE also counts with a much bigger camera sensor taking way higher quality photos and a back facing camera with a lot better 48 megapixels resolution.
Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a slightly better memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a SD card slot that holds up to 256 GB. The Galaxy Note8 has a bit superior battery life than Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, because it has a 3300mAh battery capacity.
