Comparison review
Galaxy Note8 has a general score of 83, which is a little bit better than Xiaomi Note 7 Pro's 80.5 general score. Both phones in this review use the same Android 9.0 Pie OS, so they should give the same OS features. The Galaxy Note8 is an older, just a bit thicker and a bit heavier device than the Xiaomi Note 7 Pro.
The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a little more vivid screen than Xiaomi Note 7 Pro, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 also has a higher resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels and a higher amount of pixels per inch in the screen. The Galaxy Note8 has a slightly bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Note 7 Pro, because although it has 0 less internal storage, it also counts with a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB.
Galaxy Note8 has just a little better performance than Xiaomi Note 7 Pro. Both have a Octa-Core CPU and a 6 GB RAM memory. Xiaomi Note 7 Pro has a better camera than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Xiaomi Note 7 Pro also counts with a back camera with a lot higher 48 mega pixels resolution and a much bigger back-facing camera sensor providing a lot better image quality.
The Xiaomi Note 7 Pro features superior battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has a 4000mAh battery size.
