Comparison review

The Galaxy Note8 is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, getting an 83 score against 75.8. These phones include Android operating system, but the Galaxy Note8 has 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo. Despite being the best cellphone in our current comparison, we must tell that it is also just a little bit heavier and a little bit thicker.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a bit superior processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. They have a 6 GB RAM and the same number of cores. The Galaxy Note8 counts with a bit sharper display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because it has a quite larger screen, more pixels per screen inch and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2960.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a slightly bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB.

Galaxy Note8 captures a little bit better photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have a same resolution back facing camera, the Galaxy Note8 also has a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a way larger diafragm aperture for better low-light images. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has greater battery duration than Galaxy Note8, because it has a 21% larger battery size.
