The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime has an overall score of 76.9, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy J8's overall score of 76.7. Both phones in this review come with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy J8 has Android 10 version, providing you a lot of extra features. The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime body is a little thinner and a little lighter than Galaxy J8, even when both were released only 6 months apart.
The Galaxy J8 counts with a bit faster CPU than Galaxy On7 Prime. Both have a 4 GB RAM and the same number of cores. Galaxy On7 Prime features a slightly better screen than Galaxy J8, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a greater pixels count per display inch.
Samsung Galaxy J8's storage capacity to store more games and applications is just as good as Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime's one, both have exactly the same internal memory and a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 256 GB. The Galaxy J8 counts with a little better battery duration than Galaxy On7 Prime, because it has a 3500mAh battery size.
The Galaxy J8 takes just a bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video definition, the Galaxy J8 also has a bigger camera aperture to capture better captures and video in poorly lited situations, a larger sensor capturing higher quality photos and a back camera with more MP.
