Samsung Galaxy S5 has a global score of 77.7, which is a little bit better than Galaxy S III's 72.1 global score. Even though the Samsung Galaxy S5 is just a little heavier than the Galaxy S III, it's just a little bit thinner and also way newer. Both phones in this comparison have the same Android 4.4.2 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding OS features.
Galaxy S5 counts with a better screen than Galaxy S III, because it has a bit larger display, a better display density and a much higher 1920 x 1440px resolution. The Galaxy S III features a better storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S5, because although it has a slot for an SD memory card that supports 64 GB smaller, it also counts with 32 GB internal storage.
Galaxy S5 features a quite superior hardware performance than Galaxy S III, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM, the Galaxy S5 also has a higher number of cores and a better graphics processing unit working at 500 megahertz.
