The Galaxy J8 has an overall score of 76.7, which is slightly better than the Galaxy S III AT&T's general score of 72.2. Both of these phones use Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy J8 has newer 10 version and Galaxy S III AT&T has Android 4.3, providing you a lot of extra features and a performance increase. The Galaxy J8 construction is noticeably newer and a little thinner than Galaxy S III AT&T's, but it's much heavier.

The Galaxy J8 has a bit faster processor than Samsung Galaxy S III AT&T, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with 2 GB more RAM memory and a greater number of cores. Samsung Galaxy S III AT&T has a better looking screen than Galaxy J8, because although it has a bit worse 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and a way smaller display, it also counts with a quite greater screen pixels density.

The Samsung Galaxy J8 counts with a much better storage for apps and games than Galaxy S III AT&T, because it has 48 GB more internal storage and a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB. The Galaxy J8 shoots much better pictures and videos than Galaxy S III AT&T, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy J8 also has a way more mega-pixels camera, a bigger sensor which offers a better image and video quality and a lot bigger aperture for better images in poorly lited environments.
