Comparison review
The Xperia 1 III is a lot better than the Galaxy S III AT&T, getting a global score of 93.3 against 72.2. Xperia 1 III's construction is much newer and just a little thinner, but noticeably heavier than the Galaxy S III AT&T. Both phones in this comparison review have Android operating system, but Xperia 1 III has a more recent 11 version while Galaxy S III AT&T has Android 4.3.
The Xperia 1 III features a faster CPU than Galaxy S III AT&T, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a larger number of cores and a higher amount of RAM. The Sony Xperia 1 III has a better display than Samsung Galaxy S III AT&T, because it has a lot higher pixel quantity per inch in the display, a much bigger display and a way better resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels.
The Sony Xperia 1 III captures way better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S III AT&T, because it has a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, a way larger diafragm aperture for better low-light captures and video, a lot larger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a back camera with way more megapixels.
The Xperia 1 III has a lot bigger storage for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S III AT&T, because it has an external memory slot that admits up to 1 TB and 256 GB internal memory capacity. The Xperia 1 III has a much better battery lifetime than Galaxy S III AT&T, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 2100mAh.
Xperia 1 III costs a lot more than Galaxy S III AT&T, but you can get a much better phone for that few extra dollars.
