Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite's construction is thinner but much heavier than the Galaxy S III AT&T. Both phones in this review work with Android OS, but the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has newer 8.1 Oreo version while Galaxy S III AT&T has Android 4.3 version, so it gives a couple additional features.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy S III AT&T, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with 4 GB more RAM and a larger number of faster cores. The Samsung Galaxy S III AT&T has just a bit better display than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, although it has a really smaller screen, a just a bit worse pixel density and a lot lower 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite counts with a superior camera than Galaxy S III AT&T, because it has a way better video definition, a camera in the back with a way better resolution, a larger sensor and a much larger aperture. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite features a way bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S III AT&T, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite features a really longer battery performance than Galaxy S III AT&T, because it has a 3350mAh battery size.
