Although the Huawei P30 Lite is heavier than Samsung Galaxy S III, it's thinner and way newer. Both phones in this comparison review come with Android operating system, but Huawei P30 Lite has 9.0 Pie version and Samsung Galaxy S III has Android 4.3, so it offers some nice extra features and performance optimizations.

Huawei P30 Lite counts with just a bit better processing power than Galaxy S III, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, it also counts with more RAM memory and a higher number of cores (and faster). Galaxy S III counts with just a bit better looking display than Huawei P30 Lite, although it has a much lower resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, a much worse quantity of pixels in each display inch and a much smaller screen.

The Huawei P30 Lite takes clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S III, and although they both have the same video definition and the same video frame rates, the Huawei P30 Lite also has a camera with a much higher 24 megapixels resolution, a much larger diafragm aperture to take better low light captures and videos and a lot larger camera sensor taking way higher quality pictures and videos.

The Huawei P30 Lite has a much bigger memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has a SD extension slot that supports up to 512 GB and 96 GB more internal storage capacity. Huawei P30 Lite features a really longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has a 59 percent larger battery capacity.

Although Huawei P30 Lite is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S III, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy S III. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Samsung Galaxy S III, letting go some specs and features, but you will get the most with your savings.
