Galaxy A5 (2017) has an overall score of 75.8, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S III's 74.8 score. The Galaxy A5 (2017) body is notably newer and a little thinner, but also heavier than the Samsung Galaxy S III. Galaxy A5 (2017)'s processor is very similar to Galaxy S III's processor, because although the Galaxy A5 (2017) has doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with 4 more cores and a larger amount of RAM.
Samsung Galaxy S III features a bit more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), although it has a much lower resolution of 1280 x 720px, a way worse count of pixels in each inch of display and a bit smaller screen. The Galaxy A5 (2017) captures clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S III, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same (Full HD) video resolution, the Galaxy A5 (2017) also has a lot better 16 MP resolution back-facing camera and a lot larger diafragm aperture to capture better low light captures.
