Even though the Galaxy S22 is a lot heavier than the Galaxy S III, it's somewhat thinner and also notably newer. Both of these phones include Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy S22 has a newer 13 version and Galaxy S III has Android 4.3, so it provides some additional features and performance enhancements.

Samsung Galaxy S22 features a more vivid display than Galaxy S III, because it has a bigger display, a lot brighter screen, a greater screen density and a lot better resolution of 1080 x 2340px. The Samsung Galaxy S22 counts with a bit better CPU than Samsung Galaxy S III, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with 4 more cores and a greater amount of RAM memory.

Galaxy S22 has a way better camera than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has a way bigger sensor taking much higher quality pictures and videos, a lot larger camera aperture for better photography and videos in poorly lited situations, a lot more MP camera in the back and a way higher video definition.

The Galaxy S22 has a much bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy S III, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. The Galaxy S22 has a really longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has a 3700mAh battery capacity instead of 2100mAh.

Although Samsung Galaxy S22 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S III, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy S III. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S22, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Samsung Galaxy S III, letting go a couple specs and features.
