Comparison review

Galaxy S5 is a little bit better than Galaxy S III, getting a overall score of 80.8 against 74.8. Although the Galaxy S5 is a little bit heavier than the Galaxy S III, it's a little thinner and way newer. Both devices in this comparison have Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy S5 has newer 4.4.2 version while Galaxy S III has Android 4.3 version, providing a couple nice extra features and improved performance.

Samsung Galaxy S5 has a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy S III, because although it has a worse graphics co-processor running at 500 megahertz, and they both have 4 processing cores, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory. The Galaxy S5 features a brighter display than Galaxy S III, because it has a way higher resolution of 1920 x 1080px, a quite bigger display and a much better amount of pixels per inch in the display.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 counts with a bit more memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S III, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also has an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB. Samsung Galaxy S5 counts with a better camera than Galaxy S III, because it has a camera in the back with a lot better 16 megapixels resolution, a bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting better quality photos, a bigger aperture to take better low-light captures and videos and a much better video quality.

Although Samsung Galaxy S5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy S III, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy S III. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S5, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy S III, letting go some features and specifications.
