Samsung Galaxy S6 Active is a little bit better than the Galaxy S III, getting an 80.9 score against 74.8. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active construction is notably lighter but a little thicker than the Galaxy S III. Both devices in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy S6 Active has 5.0 version while Galaxy S III has Android 4.3.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Active features a better processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S III, because although it has a weaker 650 megahertz graphics co-processor, it also counts with more RAM memory, a 64 bits CPU and a larger number of faster cores. The Galaxy S6 Active has a sharper display than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has a quite larger screen, a lot better amount of pixels per inch in the screen and a much higher resolution of 2560 x 1440px.
Galaxy S6 Active and Samsung Galaxy S III both have similar cameras, although the Galaxy S6 Active also has a bigger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors, a way better (4K) video definition, a much larger diafragm aperture for better low-light captures and videos and a much higher resolution back facing camera.
Galaxy S III features a way bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy S6 Active. They have the same internal memory capacity. Samsung Galaxy S6 Active has a way better battery life than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has 3500mAh of battery capacity against 2100mAh.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Active is more expensive than Samsung Galaxy S III, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
