Comparison review

Xperia 1 is much better than Galaxy S III, with an 82.6 score against 74.8. The Xperia 1 is a way newer and just a bit thinner phone than Galaxy S III, but it is also noticeably heavier. The Xperia 1 counts with a brighter display than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has a much higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px, more brightness, a lot bigger display and a way better display density.

Sony Xperia 1 features a much better storage capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy S III, because it has a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB and more internal memory capacity. Xperia 1 counts with just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy S III, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM and 4 more CPU cores.

Sony Xperia 1 has a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has a lot higher (4K) video definition, a larger back camera sensor which gives a better image and video quality, a lot larger aperture to take better low light captures and a much higher resolution back-facing camera. Sony Xperia 1 counts with a much longer battery life than Galaxy S III, because it has a 59 percent larger battery capacity.

Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy S III, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy S III. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Xperia 1, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy S III, resigning some specifications.
