Sony Xperia 1 III has an overall score of 93.3, which is a lot better than the Galaxy S III's 74.8 score. Sony Xperia 1 III's body is much newer and just a bit thinner, but heavier than Galaxy S III. Both phones we are comparing here include Android OS (Operating System), but Sony Xperia 1 III has a more recent 11 version and Galaxy S III has Android 4.3, so it provides you a couple nice extra features and performance tweaks.
The Sony Xperia 1 III has a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy S III, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM and 4 more cpu cores. The Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a little sharper display than Galaxy S III, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px, a way better display pixel density and a way bigger display.
Xperia 1 III features a way bigger storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 1 TB and 256 GB internal storage. Xperia 1 III features a very superior camera than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has a much higher (4K) video definition, a camera in the back with a way better 12 mega-pixels resolution, a way larger aperture for better images in low-light environments and a much bigger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
The Xperia 1 III features a really longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has a 4500mAh battery size.
Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy S III, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S III. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Galaxy S III, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most with your money.
