The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a global score of 79.8, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S III's 74.8 score. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium design is noticeably newer and a little bit thinner than Samsung Galaxy S III's, although it is also extremely heavier. These phones come with Android OS, but Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a newer 5.1 version while Samsung Galaxy S III has Android 4.3 version, so it provides some nice extra features.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a lot better screen than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has a little bit bigger display, a much higher 3840 x 2160 resolution and a much greater display density. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a little bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy S III, because although it has a slower graphics co-processor, it also counts with a larger number of cores (and also faster) and 1 GB more RAM memory.
The Xperia Z5 Premium features a greater storage to store more games and applications than Galaxy S III, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 200 GB. The Xperia Z5 Premium shoots a lot better photos and videos than Galaxy S III, because it has a way larger aperture to capture better low-light captures and video, a much larger sensor taking lot better quality videos and pictures, a way higher 3840x2160 video quality and a way more mega-pixels back facing camera.
The Xperia Z5 Premium features a superior battery performance than Galaxy S III, because it has a 3430mAh battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy S III, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy S III. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, else you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy S III, giving up a couple features and specs.
