Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi MIX has a global score of 76.2, which is slightly better than the Galaxy S III's 74.8 overall score. The Xiaomi Mi MIX construction is extremely newer and a little bit thinner than the Galaxy S III's, although it is notably heavier. These devices work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Xiaomi Mi MIX has the newer 6.0 Marshmallow version and Galaxy S III has Android 4.3, giving you a couple nice extra features.
Xiaomi Mi MIX has a processor that is very similar to the processing unit in Samsung Galaxy S III, because although the Xiaomi Mi MIX has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, and they both have 4 CPU cores, it also counts with 2 GB more RAM. Galaxy S III features a bit sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi MIX, although it has a much lower resolution of 1280 x 720px, much more opaque display, a little worse amount of pixels per inch in the screen and a lot smaller screen.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX features a lot bigger memory to install applications and games than Galaxy S III, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. The Xiaomi Mi MIX counts with a very superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has 4400mAh of battery capacity instead of 2100mAh.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX features a much better camera than Galaxy S III, because although it has a smaller sensor taking less light and washed colors, it also counts with a way better (4K) video resolution, a lot bigger diafragm aperture and a back facing camera with a much better 16 mega-pixels resolution.
Although Xiaomi Mi MIX is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung Galaxy S III, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy S III. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S III, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
