Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy S III, getting a 76 score against 74.8. Although Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is heavier than the Samsung Galaxy S III, it's somewhat thinner and also much newer. Both of these phones use Android OS (Operating System), but the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a newer 6.0 Marshmallow version while Samsung Galaxy S III has Android 4.3, so it counts with lots of additional features and performance enhancements.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 counts with a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy S III, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, and they both have 4 cpu cores, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 also counts with a higher amount of RAM. The Galaxy S III has a little more vivid screen than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, although it has a way lower 1280 x 720px resolution, a little bit smaller display and a bit worse pixels number per display inch.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a very superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S III, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 counts with a much longer battery performance than Galaxy S III, because it has 4070mAh of battery capacity instead of 2100mAh.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 counts with a slightly better camera than Galaxy S III, because it has a back camera with a much higher 23 MP resolution, a bigger sensor which gives a higher photo and video quality, a much larger diafragm aperture and a way better 3840x2160 video quality.

Although Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy S III, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy S III. If you are trying to save some money, you can get Samsung Galaxy S III, and give up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
