Comparison review
The Galaxy S10 5G has an overall score of 93.6, which is slightly better than the Huawei P40's 86.4 global score. These devices use Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy S10 5G has a newer 11 version while Huawei P40 has Android 10. Despite of the fact the Galaxy S10 5G is older and heavier than the Huawei P40, it's construction is still just a little thinner.
Huawei P40 and Galaxy S10 5G both feature quite similar CPUs, and although the Huawei P40 has lesser RAM memory, they both have 8 cpu cores. Galaxy S10 5G counts with a slightly better looking display than Huawei P40, because it has a better resolution of 1440 x 3040px, a quite better quantity of pixels in each inch in the display and a quite bigger display.
The Huawei P40 takes much better videos and photos than Galaxy S10 5G, because although it has a way tinier diafragm aperture which is worse for taking photographs and video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Huawei P40 also counts with a lot bigger back camera sensor providing a much higher image quality and a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back.

The Galaxy S10 5G costs a lot more than the Huawei P40, but you can get a better phone for that extra dollars.
