Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy A42, with a 90.8 score against 87. Both phones we are comparing here use the same Android 11 OS, so both of them should give identical OS features. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE's body is a little bit lighter and just a bit thinner than the Samsung Galaxy A42, even though they were released with only a couple of months difference.
Galaxy S20 FE features a more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a way higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a much higher pixels quantity per screen inch. The Galaxy A42 features as much memory to install applications and games as Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, both of them have the same internal storage capacity and an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 1000 GB.
Galaxy S20 FE counts with a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy A42, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Galaxy S20 FE also has a larger amount of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy A42 counts with just a little better battery life than Galaxy S20 FE, because it has an 11 percent bigger battery capacity.
Samsung Galaxy A42 has a slightly better camera than Galaxy S20 FE, because although it has lower video frame rate, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution and a F1.8 diafragm aperture, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also counts with a camera with lot more MP.
