Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G is a bit better than iPhone 12 Pro Max, getting a global score of 98 against 93.2. Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G has Android 13 OS, and iPhone 12 Pro Max comes with iOS 15.x OS. Although the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G and the iPhone 12 Pro Max were released with only a couple months difference, Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G's construction is thicker but a bit lighter.

Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G captures a lot better photos and videos than Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max, because although it has a tinier aperture, it also counts with a camera in the back with a much higher resolution and a much better 7680x4320 video quality.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G costs more than iPhone 12 Pro Max, but it's still a good choice, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
