Comparison review

Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G is slightly better than the Motorola edge, having a score of 98 against 89.6. Even though the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G and the Motorola edge were released with only 2 months difference, the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G design is somewhat heavier but also just a little bit thinner than the Motorola edge. Both devices in this comparison review use Android operating system, but Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G has a more recent 13 version while Motorola edge has Android 10 version.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G features a bit faster CPU than Motorola edge, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G also has a higher amount of RAM. The Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G counts with a bit sharper screen than Motorola edge, because it has a better resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels, a bit bigger display and a better quantity of pixels per inch in the screen.

Motorola edge has a much greater storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, and although they both have a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 1000 GB, the Motorola edge also has 128 GB more internal storage. The Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G features a bit superior battery performance than Motorola edge, because it has an 11% bigger battery size.

Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G takes much better videos and photos than Motorola edge, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor which gives a lower image and video quality, and they both have the same aperture, the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G also counts with a back facing camera with a lot better resolution and a way higher 7680x4320 video resolution.

Although Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Motorola edge, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Motorola edge. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Motorola edge, resigning a couple specifications.
