Comparison review
Galaxy S20 is much better than Galaxy S8 Active, having a general score of 94.8 against 81.9. Galaxy S20 is a much newer cellphone, and it is also a lot lighter and way thinner than Galaxy S8 Active. Samsung Galaxy S20 features a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Samsung Galaxy S20 also has more RAM.
Galaxy S8 Active and Galaxy S20 have extremely similar screens, because although the Galaxy S8 Active has a quite smaller display and a bit worse resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels, it also counts with a just a little greater screen pixel density. Samsung Galaxy S20 shoots much better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for low light images, and they both have the same resolution camera in the back, the Samsung Galaxy S20 also counts with a way higher video quality and a lot bigger camera sensor capturing lot better quality videos and photographs.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 has a lot bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy S8 Active, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity and a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 1000 GB. The Galaxy S8 Active and Galaxy S20 both count with really similar battery durations.
Although Galaxy S20 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Galaxy S20, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, giving up some features and specs.
