Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy S20 is a bit better than the Xperia 5 III, having a 94.8 score against 90.5. Samsung Galaxy S20's body is just a little thinner and a bit lighter than Xperia 5 III, although it was released around 13 months before. Both phones in this review include Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy S20 has a newer 13 version and Xperia 5 III has Android 11, so it provides some additional features.
Galaxy S20 has a bit more powerful processing unit than Xperia 5 III, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Galaxy S20 also has a larger amount of RAM memory. The Galaxy S20 features a bit sharper screen than Xperia 5 III, because it has a little bit larger display, a higher 1440 x 3200 resolution and a better pixels count in each inch of display.
The Xperia 5 III counts with a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy S20, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, a same size camera sensor and a 12 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera, the Xperia 5 III also has a bigger aperture and higher video frame rate. The Xperia 5 III features a very superior storage capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy S20, because it has an external SD slot that admits up to 1 TB and 256 GB internal memory.
The Xperia 5 III counts with just a bit better battery duration than Galaxy S20, because it has a 13 percent bigger battery capacity.
