The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is a lot better than HTC One M9, getting a 98.1 score against 77.7. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra design is notably newer and just a bit thinner than HTC One M9's, but it is also notably heavier. These devices work with Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has a newer 11 version while HTC One M9 has Android 5.0 version, so it provides you lots of additional features and optimized performance.

The HTC One M9 has just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy S21 Ultra, because although it has 9 GB less RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with a 64 bits processor and a graphics processing unit. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra features a bit sharper screen than HTC One M9, because it has a bit more pixels per screen inch, a lot higher resolution of 1440 x 3200 and a much bigger screen.

Galaxy S21 Ultra has a lot bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than HTC One M9, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. Galaxy S21 Ultra has a much better battery duration than HTC One M9, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 2840mAh.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra counts with a way better camera than HTC One M9, because it has a way higher 7680x4320 video quality, a camera in the back with a much better 108 mega-pixels resolution, a bigger aperture to capture better captures in low light situations and a way larger sensor providing a much better image quality.

Although Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the HTC One M9. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the HTC One M9, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your budget.
