Although Samsung Galaxy S21 is newer than the Samsung Galaxy A50, it is a little bit thicker and just a little heavier. The Galaxy S21 features a better display than Samsung Galaxy A50, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher pixels number in each inch in the display and a bit higher 1080 x 2400 resolution.

The Galaxy S21 counts with a bit better performance than Galaxy A50, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Galaxy S21 also has more RAM memory. The Galaxy A50 has a superior memory for applications and games than Galaxy S21, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Galaxy A50 also has a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 512 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 captures a bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy A50, because although it has a tinier camera aperture and a back camera with much less mega pixels, it also counts with a way better video resolution and a much larger camera sensor shooting much higher quality videos and photos.

Samsung Galaxy A50's battery performance is just as good as the battery lifetime in Galaxy S21.

Although Galaxy S21 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung Galaxy A50, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy A50. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy S21, otherwise you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy A50, giving up a couple specs and features.
