The Galaxy S22 Ultra is much better than Galaxy S8 Active, having a overall score of 95.4 against 81.9. Although the Galaxy S22 Ultra is a little heavier than the Galaxy S8 Active, it's somewhat thinner and extremely newer. Galaxy S22 Ultra has a brighter screen than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a little lower quantity of pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a bigger screen and a slightly better resolution of 1440 x 3088 pixels.
Galaxy S22 Ultra counts with a bit faster processor than Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Galaxy S22 Ultra also has 4 GB more RAM memory. Galaxy S22 Ultra has a much better camera than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a smaller aperture, it also counts with a way higher video quality, a lot higher 108 MP resolution camera and a much larger sensor capturing much higher quality videos and photographs.

So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy S22 Ultra, else you can save some dollars and buy the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, letting go some features and specifications.
