Samsung Galaxy S22 has a score of 93.4, which is a bit better than Google Pixel 4a 5G's 87.5 global score. Samsung Galaxy S22 is a newer cellphone, and it is also a bit thinner and a little bit lighter than Google Pixel 4a 5G. Both phones we are comparing here come with Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy S22 has newer 13 version while Google Pixel 4a 5G has Android 11.
Galaxy S22 has a bit more powerful processing unit than Google Pixel 4a 5G, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy S22 also has more RAM. Galaxy S22 counts with a brighter screen than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have the same 1080 x 2340 resolution, the Galaxy S22 also counts with a just a bit greater pixel density.
Samsung Galaxy S22 captures a lot better videos and photos than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for taking pictures and videos in low light environments, it also counts with a much better 7680x4320 video resolution, a much larger sensor providing a much better image quality and a back facing camera with a lot better resolution.

Although Galaxy S22 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Google Pixel 4a 5G, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Google Pixel 4a 5G. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Google Pixel 4a 5G, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your budget.
