HTC U Ultra is slightly better than the Galaxy S4 Active, with a global score of 77 against 71.7. Although HTC U Ultra is somewhat heavier than the Galaxy S4 Active, it's somewhat thinner and also noticeably newer. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active and the HTC U Ultra both count with extremely similar CPUs, because although the HTC U Ultra has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, and they both have 4 cores, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory.
The Galaxy S4 Active features a little bit better screen than HTC U Ultra, although it has a lot lower 1920 x 1080 resolution, a little smaller screen and a just a bit inferior quantity of pixels per display inch. The HTC U Ultra captures much better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, because it has a much more megapixels back camera and a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.
The HTC U Ultra has much more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy S4 Active, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB and 64 GB internal storage capacity. HTC U Ultra has a little better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity instead of 2600mAh.
Although HTC U Ultra is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy S4 Active, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy S4 Active. If you want to save some money, you can buy Galaxy S4 Active, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
