Huawei Mate 20 is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy S4, having a score of 79.5 against 79. Both devices in this review work with Android operating system, but the Huawei Mate 20 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy S4 has Android 4.4. Huawei Mate 20's construction is way newer, but a little thicker and much heavier than Samsung Galaxy S4.
Galaxy S4 counts with a bit sharper screen than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a lot smaller display and a quite lower 1920 x 1080px resolution, it also counts with a just a little better number of pixels in each inch in the screen. The Huawei Mate 20 has a slightly bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy S4, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.
Huawei Mate 20 has just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy S4, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with a higher number of cores (and also faster) and more RAM. Huawei Mate 20 shoots much clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S4, because although it has a lesser megapixels back-facing camera, it also counts with a way higher 3840x2160 video definition, a way bigger sensor and a larger aperture to take better captures in low light situations.
The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a way better battery lifetime than Galaxy S4, because it has a 54% greater battery size.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy S4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy S4. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Huawei Mate 20, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy S4, resigning some specifications.
