Huawei Mate X is better than Galaxy S4, with an 89.4 score against 79. Both phones in this review include Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei Mate X has 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy S4 has Android 4.4 version, providing you a couple nice extra features. Although the Huawei Mate X is newer than Galaxy S4, it is noticeably thicker and much heavier.
The Huawei Mate X counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy S4, because although it has doesn't have a GPU, it also counts with 6 GB more RAM and more processing cores. The Samsung Galaxy S4 counts with a little sharper screen than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a way worse 1920 x 1080 resolution and a really smaller screen, it also counts with a bit greater pixels count in each inch of display.
The Huawei Mate X counts with a camera that is just as good as Galaxy S4's camera, although the Huawei Mate X also has a back facing camera with way more mega pixels, a larger aperture to take better low-light photos and video and a much bigger back-facing camera sensor. Huawei Mate X has a way bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy S4, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage capacity.
The Huawei Mate X has a way better battery performance than Galaxy S4, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 2600mAh.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Samsung Galaxy S4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy S4. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S4, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your savings.
