Samsung Galaxy S4 has an overall score of 79, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy J8's global score of 76.7. Both of these phones use Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy S4 has the older 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy J8 has Android 10 version. Samsung Galaxy S4 is an much older phone than the Samsung Galaxy J8, but it's notably lighter and just a little bit thinner anyway.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 counts with a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy J8, because although it has a lower number of cores (although faster) and 2 GB less RAM, it also counts with an additional GPU. Samsung Galaxy S4 features a much sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy J8, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a way higher pixels amount per screen inch and a higher resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Galaxy J8 captures a little bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy S4, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same video resolution, the Galaxy J8 also has a camera with more mega-pixels, a larger camera sensor providing a higher image quality and a lot bigger camera aperture for better low light photography and videos.
