Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S4, with a global score of 81.2 against 79. Although it's the best cellphone in this comparison review, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a just a bit thicker and incredibly heavier cellphone than the Samsung Galaxy S4. Both of these phones have Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a newer 5.0 version while Samsung Galaxy S4 has Android 4.4.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy S4, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 also has a greater amount of RAM memory and a much better 450 megahertz graphics processor. Samsung Galaxy S4 counts with a bit better looking display than Galaxy Note 3, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have the same resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the Samsung Galaxy S4 also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch in the screen.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 feature extremely similar storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos, they have an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 64 GB and exactly the same internal storage. Galaxy Note 3 has improved battery duration than Samsung Galaxy S4, because it has 3200mAh of battery capacity.

Galaxy Note 3 shoots clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy S4, and although they both have the same resolution back facing camera, a same size sensor and the same camera aperture, the Galaxy Note 3 also has a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy S4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy S4. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Note 3, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy S4, giving up a couple specifications.
