Comparison review
The Galaxy Note 4 has a global score of 81.6, which is just a bit better than Galaxy S4's overall score of 79. Both phones in this comparison review come with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Note 4 has 5.0 version while Galaxy S4 has Android 4.4, giving some extra features and some performance improvements. Galaxy Note 4's construction is newer, but much heavier and just a little thicker than Galaxy S4.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has a bit superior CPU than Samsung Galaxy S4, and although they both have 4 CPU cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 also has a faster GPU and more RAM memory. Galaxy Note 4 features just a bit better looking screen than Galaxy S4, because it has a bit greater quantity of pixels per display inch, a little larger display and a better 2560 x 1440 resolution.
Galaxy S4 has a bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Note 4, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 64 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Note 4 captures better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S4, and although they both have a F2.2 diafragm aperture, the Galaxy Note 4 also has a lot higher 3840x2160 video resolution, a bigger back camera sensor providing a higher image quality and a camera in the back with more mega-pixels.
Galaxy Note 4 features superior battery performance than Galaxy S4, because it has 3220mAh of battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy S4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy S4. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, else you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy S4, resigning some features and specifications.
