These devices use Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Note 5 has a more recent 5.1 version while Galaxy S4 has Android 4.4, providing you some additional features. Although the Galaxy Note 5 is much heavier than the Galaxy S4, it's a bit thinner and also newer.

Galaxy S4 features a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy Note 5, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with 3 more cpu cores and a graphics processor.

The Galaxy Note 5 counts with a much better camera than Galaxy S4, because it has a lot better video definition, a bigger camera aperture to take better low light captures and video, a larger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a more MP camera. Samsung Galaxy S4 has a very superior storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy S4 also has a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 64 GB.
