The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a score of 83, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S4's general score of 79. Both of these phones include Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy S4 has Android 4.4, counting with some extra features and some performance improvements. Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a notably newer cellphone than Samsung Galaxy S4, although it is just a little bit thicker and heavier.
The Galaxy Note8 counts with a bit superior processor than Samsung Galaxy S4, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with a higher number of faster cores and 4 GB more RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy S4 features a little sharper screen than Galaxy Note8, although it has a just a little inferior count of pixels per inch of screen, a way worse resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a much smaller screen.
The Galaxy Note8 counts with a greater memory for applications and games than Galaxy S4, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory, the Galaxy Note8 also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB. Galaxy Note8 counts with a little bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy S4, because although it has a worse 12 MP resolution back camera, it also counts with a lot bigger diafragm aperture to take better captures and video in low light environments, a much better 3840x2160 video definition and a larger back-facing camera sensor taking higher quality pictures.
The Galaxy Note8 counts with longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy S4, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity instead of 2600mAh.
Although Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy S4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy S4. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Galaxy Note8, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Galaxy S4, letting go some specifications.
