Galaxy S6 Edge's design is newer and just a bit thinner than Samsung Galaxy S4's, although it's also a little heavier. Both phones we compare here come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy S6 Edge has a more recent 5.0 version and Samsung Galaxy S4 has Android 4.4 version, so it provides the user some additional features and improved performance.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a little bit better display than Galaxy S4, because it has a bit larger display, a better 2560 x 1440 resolution and a better pixels density. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge counts with slightly more memory for games and applications than Galaxy S4, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB more internal memory capacity.

Galaxy S6 Edge features a quite superior performance than Galaxy S4, because it has a faster graphics processing unit, more RAM, a 64-bit processor and 4 more processing cores. Samsung Galaxy S4 features a bit better camera than Galaxy S6 Edge, although it has a way lower 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, a lower 13 megapixels resolution camera, a tinier aperture which is not good for low light photography and videos and a tinier back camera sensor providing a lower image quality.

The Galaxy S6 Edge's battery life is just as good as Galaxy S4's battery performance.

Although Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy S4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy S4. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Samsung Galaxy S4, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
