The Xperia XZ2 Premium is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S4, getting an 82.2 score against 79. The Xperia XZ2 Premium body is newer, but way thicker and a lot heavier than the Samsung Galaxy S4. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a more vivid display than Galaxy S4, because it has a much better display pixels density, a larger display and a much better resolution of 2160 x 3840.
The Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a better storage capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy S4, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 400 GB. Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with just a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy S4, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM and a larger number of faster cores.
The Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a very superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy S4, because it has 3540mAh of battery capacity against 2600mAh. Xperia XZ2 Premium has a much better camera than Galaxy S4, because it has a bigger camera aperture to capture better photos and videos in low light environments, a much higher 19 megapixels resolution back camera, a way higher video resolution and a much bigger sensor capturing lot better quality videos and photographs.
Although Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy S4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy S4. If you want to save some money, you can get Galaxy S4, letting go a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
