Comparison review
Galaxy S5 has an overall score of 80.8, which is a bit better than the Huawei Mate 10's score of 78.9. Galaxy S5's construction has the same thickness than Huawei Mate 10, but it's much lighter. Both of these phones come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy S5 has a more recent 4.4.2 version and Huawei Mate 10 has Android 10.
The Galaxy S5 features just a bit better looking display than Huawei Mate 10, because although it has a little bit smaller screen and a much lower 1920 x 1080px resolution, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per display inch. The Huawei Mate 10 features much more memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S5, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 256 GB and 64 GB internal storage capacity.
The Galaxy S5 has a little faster processing unit than Huawei Mate 10, because although it has a lower amount of RAM and an inferior number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. Huawei Mate 10 features a way better battery performance than Galaxy S5, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity instead of 2800mAh.
Galaxy S5 has a slightly better camera than Huawei Mate 10, because although it has a lot tinier aperture which is not nice for capturing pictures and video in low-light environments, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Galaxy S5 also counts with a bigger sensor which gives a better photo and video quality and a much more megapixels back facing camera.
Although Samsung Galaxy S5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Huawei Mate 10, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei Mate 10. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Huawei Mate 10, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
