Comparison review
Huawei Mate 20 Pro is just a bit better than the Galaxy S5, having an 82.9 score against 80.8. Huawei Mate 20 Pro's construction is much newer, but a bit thicker and heavier than the Galaxy S5. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a processing unit that is very similar to Galaxy S5's CPU, because although the Huawei Mate 20 Pro has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory and a higher number of cores.
Galaxy S5 features a brighter screen than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because although it has a lot worse resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a much smaller display, it also counts with a little higher screen density. Huawei Mate 20 Pro features much more memory capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy S5, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal storage.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro counts with a way better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S5, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro shoots better photographs and videos than Galaxy S5, and although they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also has a lot more megapixels back-facing camera, a much larger back camera sensor providing a way better image quality and a bigger aperture to capture better low-light photography and videos.
Although Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a better device, it costs more money than the Galaxy S5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy S5. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Huawei Mate 20 Pro, else you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy S5, letting go a couple features and specs.
