Comparison review
Huawei Mate X has a score of 89.4, which is better than Galaxy S5's overall score of 80.8. Both devices in our current comparison work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei Mate X has newer 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy S5 has Android 4.4.2 version, providing you a couple nice extra features and improved performance. Huawei Mate X's body is much newer than the Galaxy S5's, but it's noticeably thicker and a lot heavier.
Galaxy S5 counts with a brighter display than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a much lower resolution of 1920 x 1080px and a really smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per screen inch. The Huawei Mate X features a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S5, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with more internal memory.
Huawei Mate X counts with a bit faster processor than Galaxy S5, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, it also counts with more processing cores and a higher amount of RAM. Huawei Mate X counts with a very superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S5, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 2800mAh.
Galaxy S5 has a better camera than Huawei Mate X, although it has a way less megapixels resolution back facing camera, a way smaller sensor taking less light and duller colors and a smaller aperture.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy S5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy S5. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Huawei Mate X, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy S5, letting go some features and specs.
