Comparison review
Galaxy S5 has a general score of 80.8, which is slightly better than Huawei P40 Lite's global score of 79.5. These phones come with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy S5 has the newer 4.4.2 version while Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10, so it gives you a couple nice extra features. Even though the Galaxy S5 is incredibly older than Huawei P40 Lite, it's design is a little bit thinner and noticeably lighter.
Samsung Galaxy S5 has a bit faster processing unit than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has 4 lesser cores and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with a graphics processor. Galaxy S5 features a more vivid display than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a lot smaller display, it also counts with a greater screen density.
The Huawei P40 Lite has a much bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy S5, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. Huawei P40 Lite has a much longer battery life than Galaxy S5, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity.
Huawei P40 Lite features just a bit better camera than Galaxy S5, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video resolution, the Huawei P40 Lite also has a back-facing camera with a way better resolution, a bigger aperture to capture better photography and video in poorly lited environments and a much larger camera sensor taking much better quality photos and videos.
Although Samsung Galaxy S5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Huawei P40 Lite. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S5, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Huawei P40 Lite, giving up a couple features and specs.
