LG G8S ThinQ is slightly better than the Galaxy S5, having a global score of 82.5 against 80.8. Both phones in this review work with Android OS, but the LG G8S ThinQ has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Galaxy S5 has Android 4.4.2 version. Although LG G8S ThinQ is somewhat heavier than the Galaxy S5, it's just a bit thinner and noticeably newer.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 counts with a better screen than LG G8S ThinQ, because although it has a quite lower 1920 x 1080px resolution and a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a greater amount of pixels per display inch. The LG G8S ThinQ features a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy S5, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, it also counts with a larger number of cores (and they are faster) and more RAM.

The LG G8S ThinQ has a much better memory capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy S5, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity and a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 1,95 TB. Samsung Galaxy S5 counts with a little bit better camera than LG G8S ThinQ, because although it has a smaller aperture and worse video frame rate, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also counts with a way more mega pixels back camera.

The LG G8S ThinQ has improved battery life than Galaxy S5, because it has 3550mAh of battery capacity instead of 2800mAh.
