LG V30S ThinQ has a general score of 82.5, which is just a bit better than Galaxy S5's global score of 80.8. Both of these devices work with Android OS (Operating System), but LG V30S ThinQ has newer 8.0 Oreo version and Galaxy S5 has Android 4.4.2 version, providing you some additional features. The LG V30S ThinQ design is extremely newer and just a little bit thinner, but just a little heavier than Galaxy S5.

Galaxy S5 and LG V30S ThinQ both count with similar processing units, because although the LG V30S ThinQ has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with a larger number of cores and a higher amount of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy S5 features a much better looking display than LG V30S ThinQ, because although it has a bit smaller display and a way worse 1920 x 1080px resolution, it also counts with a bit greater pixel density.

The LG V30S ThinQ counts with a superior memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy S5, because it has 96 GB more internal storage and a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB. Samsung Galaxy S5 features just a bit better camera than LG V30S ThinQ, because although it has a way tinier aperture which is not so good for low light captures and video, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate, the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same resolution camera in the back, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also counts with a bigger sensor providing a better image quality.

LG V30S ThinQ has longer battery life than Galaxy S5, because it has an 18 percent greater battery size.

Although LG V30S ThinQ is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Samsung Galaxy S5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy S5. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S5, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
